StoryWith AI is a writing studio for novelists and non-fiction authors. You can permanently delete your StoryWith AI account, and the data associated with it, at any time. This page explains how to do it and what happens to your data.
Delete your account from the app
The fastest way to delete your account is from inside StoryWith AI:
- Sign in to StoryWith AI.
- Open Settings from your account menu.
- Go to the Delete account section.
- Confirm the deletion. Your account and its data are removed permanently and immediately.
Request deletion by email
If you can no longer sign in — for example, because you uninstalled the app — email privacy@mail.storywith.ai from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We verify the request and complete deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your profile — name, email address, and account settings.
- All of your manuscripts — books, chapters, scenes, characters, and notes.
- AI-generated content — analyses, rewrites, generated images, and assistant chat history.
- Reader-feedback sessions you created, and the responses to them.
- Files and images stored in your account, and the collaboration data you own.
What we keep, and for how long
- Billing and transaction records are kept by our payment processor (Stripe) only for as long as tax and accounting laws require — up to 7 years. They cannot be used to identify you inside the product after deletion.
- Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days of deletion.
- Data that has been fully anonymized, so that it can no longer identify you, may be kept.
Delete some data without closing your account
You don't have to delete your whole account to remove content. You can delete individual books and manuscripts, generated images, or reader-feedback sessions from their menus in the app at any time. To request deletion of specific data, email privacy@mail.storywith.ai and tell us what you'd like removed.
