Why three angles
There is more than one way into a book, and the best way depends on what makes yours different. The generator writes one blurb for each of the three most common openings, so you can see which suits your book.
- Character: who the protagonist is and what they want.
- Stakes: the threat, and what could be lost.
- Mystery: the central question or secret.
Many writers end up combining two: the character angle's first line with the stakes angle's ending, for example.
What makes a blurb work
A blurb is sales copy for readers. It sets up the protagonist, the conflict and the stakes in the tone of the genre, then stops at the moment of choice or danger.
It never gives away the ending, and it doesn't summarize the plot. Short paragraphs help, because many readers see it on a phone.
Make the blurb yours
Treat the results as drafts. Check every detail against your book, cut any line that could describe a hundred other novels, and read it aloud.
The generator only knows what you told it. It won't invent awards, reviews or comparisons to other books, so add those yourself if you have them.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is the blurb generator free?
Yes, with no signup. Free tools share a fair-use limit of 6 runs every 12 hours.
What is the difference between a blurb and a synopsis?
A blurb sells the book to readers and keeps the ending hidden. A synopsis is for agents and editors, tells the whole story and gives the ending away. Use the synopsis generator for that.
Can I use the blurb on Amazon?
Yes. A blurb works as your back-cover copy and as the book description on a retailer page. Edit it first so it sounds like you and matches your book.
Is my description stored or used for training?
No. It's sent to our AI provider to write the blurbs and isn't saved by StoryWith AI. We don't use it to train AI models.
Does it reveal the ending?
No. It's told to stop at the choice or danger your story builds to, the way a published blurb does.
Can I write a blurb in another language?
Yes. Describe your book in its own language, and the blurbs come back in that language.
